The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Commandant of Corps Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, fdc, mnim, mpa, fisn, resumed at the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC ), situated in Yaba, yesterday, Sunday, 26th February, 2023, to monitor the collation of the 2023 Presidential/National Assembly election results after an effective and successful deployment of the Corps’ personnel to ensure a smooth and peaceful conduct of the process.
The above action is also in line with the charge of the Commandant General, NSCDC, CG Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, dfisn, OFR, to ensure effective supervision and monitoring of the 2023 general elections. The Lagos State Commandant of the Corps joined, the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner and other service commanders and their representatives to monitor the collation of results, since yesterday evening.
In the same vein, today, Monday, 27th February, the highly dutiful, assiduous, laborious and sagacious Commandant also resumed at the INEC’s office to monitor the final collation of results, which began at about 10:00hrs in the morning.
The Corps commends, INEC, the Nigera Police Force, the media and other relevant bodies for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the electoral process in the state as well as assured the commission of its readiness to deliver effective and efficient security services in the forthcoming Gubernatorial and State Houses of Assembly elections scheduled for Saturday, 11th March, 2023.
