The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency ( NDLEA),  has arrested an alleged drug baron called Temo, whose real name is Sulaimon Jimoh olowoidiogede.

NDLEA had stormed a place where Temo carried out his drug business in Idi-Oro, Mushin LGA in Lagos State but failed to effect his arrest.

Four accomplices whose names were given as Saheed Sholola, who hails from Ogun State and Suleiman Shehu, from Akoko Edo, Edo State, and a lady, were arrested.

Mr Femi Babafemi, spokesman of the NDLEA had announced the agency declared Temo wanted.

He had said, “We are on the track of the kingpin, called Temo, who narrowly escaped from the scene during the raid. The long arm of the law will soon catch up with him.”

But it was authoritatively learnt Temo was arrested on Monday 22nd, January at about 10am where he was held at the NDLEA Nahco command at Airport road

“I can confirm that he was arrested on Monday 22nd January, 2024 at about 10am but he’s negotiating himself out,” a source in the NDLEA said.

He affirmed that NDLEA has failed to announce his arrest more than 24 hours after his arrest as they used to do.

“We are following development. It’s curious that NDLEA has not announced the high profile drug baron they announced last year that he was wanted.

“He’s currently in handcuffs and here’s the picture. I am in the station where he’s being held. I stood in front of him to take pictures, one of which I have sent you.

He is currently at NDLEA office at Nahco, Airport road. The source said he was taken out at 10pm yesterday night but where he was taken not affirmed.

“There are fears he will be freed if he settles them N100m as he is negotiating,” the source said.

Attempts to speak with Babafemi proved abortive.
