The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Lagos State Command, Commandant of Corps Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, fdc, mnim, mpa, fisn, in a glamorous state, while receiving the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Corps, Oluwaseun Abolurin, today, Monday, 27th March, 2023, during the PRO’s presentation of gifts received, from a leadership conference organized, by the Lagos executives of Junior Chamber International tagged, “Excellent Leadership : the bedrock of sustainable democracy,” which was held yesterday, Sunday, 26th March, 2023, at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Note that the Command’s PRO represented, the State Commandant at the aforementioned event in a panel session, with other invited dignitaries such as the representative of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Idowu Owohunwa, mni, the keynote speaker, Olusegun Fafore, E. A. New Media and Public Relations to the Lagos State Governor, Host and JCIN Abassador, Oluwabusayo Adegoke, President JCI Lagos, Panel Moderator, Chioma Ukpabi, Executive Director Skill – Up with Kahdsole and other erudite experts .

POLICE ARREST TWO IN CONNECTION WITH ILLEGAL REGISTRATION OF PARTY MEMBERS IN THEIR HIDEOUT

On Wednesday, 17th April, 2024, the Ondo State Police Command, says it received an intel that one Mr Ariyo, a transporter in Ondo town was registering APC Party members at his residence ahead of the party primaries slated for 20th of April, 2024

This information was disclosed in a statement E-signed by SP. Funmilayo Odunlami- Omisanya, the Ondo State command PRO.

According to the statement, the Police personnel from Yaba Divisional Headquarters led by an Assistant Superintendent of Police visited the house and recovered the following items from the scene :

a) APC party’s registration Booklets

b) List of names of purported party members of ward 7 Ondo.

c) 53 passport photographs of different individuals.

d) A jotter containing with names.

e) 2 exercise books with names and phone numbers of people.

f) 2 slips of a registered form.

Two suspects have been arrested and are assisting the Police with necessary information to apprehend others involved in this cynicism.

The Commissioner of police, CP Abayomi P. Oladipo, admonishes all political aspirants to caution their supporters whose acts can stir the hornet’s nest in the state.

The CP also ordered total clamp down on incendiaries no matter whose ox is gored, as the Command has spread its tentacles to all nooks and crannies of the State to ensure safety of lives and property and peaceful conduct of the party primaries in the State.

LAGOS NSCDC PARTNERS JOINT NATIONAL TRANSPORT SAFETY COMMITTEE, LAUDS INITIATIVE AND AVOWS COMMITMENT.

“NSCDC plays a major role in the security of lives and property, especially, the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure,” Mogbojuri Taiwo said.

 

 

The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Mr Adedotun Keshinro has affirmed that the Corps will continue to collaborate with all relevant stakeholders working tirelessly to ensure safety and security in the state.

He stated that the Joint National Transport Safety Committee Nigeria is one of those bodies deserving of such due support because of the critical roles it has been playing since its establishment.

The manufacturing industry, our haulage system, transport sector and others need to be well protected by relevant stakeholders as protection of lives and property remain very paramount due to the fact that we can not afford to loose precious lives needlessly. Therefore, “NSCDC plays a major role in the security of lives and property, especially, the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure,” Taiwo said.

The National Executive Chairman of the Joint National Transport Safety Committee Nigeria mentioned the above during a courtesy visit to the office of the State Commandant, NSCDC, in Alausa, Ikeja, today, Wednesday, 17th April, 2024.

The national and state executives of the aforementioned body ably led by Mr Mogbojuri Taiwo, National Executive Chairman were received by the representative of the State Commandant, Deputy Commandant of Corps Olusola Jimoh in charge of Budget, Planning, Research and Statistics ( B-PRS ). He appreciated the executives for their visit to welcome the State Commandant and also share their lofty ideas with the command so as to agree on areas of partnership especially in the transport and safety corridor.

The National Executive Chairman of the aforementioned body, Mr Mogbojuri Taiwo in his remark stated the need to collaborate with the NSCDC because of the critical role it plays in the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure in the country, especially, in tue state. He affirmed that the Corps’ ability and capacity remains undoubtedly uncompromising and unfailing in the face of bedeviling challenges especially, with heinous tasks as this.

The Lagos State Chairman of the Joint Task Force, Alhaji Moruf Ayobami Mukaila and some members of his team were also introduced during the visit, in a bid to cement the collaboration arrangements with the command as this will further boost quality delivery of security services.

The Lagos State Commandant lauded the initiative aimed at providing security and safety around the transport corridor for goods and services transported from the ports via our roads to the people. He agreed with the National Executive Chairman of the the Task Force that it will further reduce mortality rates tremendously in the state. He avowed the commitment of the command to provide necessary operational support to the Task Force at due course following their landmark achievements within a very short period of time since their inauguration.

ILLEGAL MINING: NSCDC ARRESTS TWO SUSPECTS, IMPOUNDS 40 TON TRUCK LOADED WITH KAOLIN IN ANAMBRA STATE

The Operatives of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at about 1100hrs , acting on credible Intelligence, trailed and arrested two suspects for engaging in illegal mining activities in Anambra State.

The Suspects, Madueke Akpuchukwu ‘m’ aged 53 from Awomama town in Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State and Chimezie Ezenduka ‘m’ aged 54 of No 4 All Mekus Drive Federal Housing Onitsha were apprehended at Igbariam conveying suspected solid mineral (Kaolin ) without relevant permit .

The State Commandant of NSCDC, Anambra State Command, Comdt. Maku Olatunde while parading the suspects at the State Headquarters on Wednesday 16 April, 2024 commended the Command’s Mining Marshal Squad led by ACC Agunwa Osita for acting on the strength of the information to apprehend the economic saboteurs.

According to him, preliminary investigations showed that the 40 ton truck with no registration number was loaded with six hundred bags of Kaolin and covered with tarpaulin to disguise as cement consignment.

Comdt. Maku who gave the value of the solid minerals at Twenty Million,Two hundred and Four Thousand, Four Hundred Naira only ( N20,204, 400) said it was excavated at a sealed site around Nando and being transported outside the state without waybill or license permitting the suspects to deal in mining.

Continuing, the NSCDC State boss revealed that the activities of illegal miners have been depriving Anambra State under the Solution focused Administration of Professor Chukwuma Soludo the much – needed revenue to bring the dividend of democracy to Ndi Anambra.

“NSCDC will continue to check the activities of those engaging in illegal mining across the state. It is not going to be business as usual.

“The Corps would be unrelenting in discharging its Core Mandate of checkmating and flushing out illegal miners from the State.

“They should either relocate from the State or stop immediately before the long hands of the law catches up on them” he said.

The NSCDC State Commandant said the suspects will be arraigned in court at the end of ongoing investigations.

He called on Anambra residents to report illegal mining activities within their domains and continue to share useful information on anyone involved in unlawful mineral related practices and environmental degradation for prompt response.

Mr. Madueke Akpuchukwu one of the suspects who pleaded for mercy, in a confessional statement admitted to being in the business of transporting Kaolin to needed companies for eight years without any certification as a licensed miner.
