The elders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State have pleaded with Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to probe the circumstances surrounding the death of the late governorship aspirant of the party, Paul Akintelure.

NigeriaUpdates reported that Akintelure, a medical doctor jostling for the governorship ticket of the APC, was confirmed dead in the early hours of Tuesday.

The demise comes barely a week after Akintelure raised alarm, alleging that there was a serious threat to his life ahead of the APC governorship primary fixed for April 25.

Though he did not provide details of the threat, he noted that he was compelled to address the matter with grave concern and a heavy heart.

Reacting, the party elders, under the auspices of Ondo APC Aborigine, during a meeting on Tuesday, expressed sadness over the death of the late medical doctor.

The Chairman of the APC elders group and former Nigerian Ambassador to Togo, Sola Iji, speaking on behalf of its members, said there was a need for Aiywdatiwa to investigate the deceased’s death, considering the allegation of threat to his life.

He said, “The meeting was meant to receive and adopt the final report of the resolution of the group in supporting one of the aspirants. We were shocked earlier this morning when we learnt of the death of Dr. Paul Akintelure. We have to suspend our meeting to seize the opportunity to mourn his demise.

“A few days back, he spoke out about threat to his life. If he so expressed that threat, even though we do not know the details, we call on the governor to unravel whatever mystery surrounding his death.

“It is part of the responsibilities of the government is to protect lives and property. We have adjourned till another date to discuss.”

* Ogun IPAC inaugurates new excos

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has assured the new executives of Inter Party Advisory Council of Nigeria ( IPAC) of level playing ground for all political parties in the State.

Abiodun made the disclosure at the inauguration of new executives of IPAC held at the State headquarters of Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) in Abeokuta, the State capital.

The Governor who is was elected from the platform of All Progressives Congress ( APC), noted that IPAC should continue to play it’s role as an advisory body and jettison any act of being seen as opposition.

Abiodun who was represented by his Senior Media Consultant, Ambassador Tunde Oladunjoye, said the body should be as a partner in progress, “who must exhaust all possible internal measures to interact with the government of the day”.

He stressed that his government would continue to operate an open door policy .

He said “We want to assure you that the government shall continue to provide a level playing ground as already demonstrated so far.

The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) is the umbrella body of all the registered Political Parties in Nigeria. A platform for the promotion and sustenance of a free, fair, credible, transparent, acceptable, inclusive and peaceful electoral environment in Nigeria”.

“It promotes the conduct of political contests devoid of rancour and emphasizes the values of tolerance, sound conduct, a spirit of accommodation and teamwork in planning or organizing political competition with a view to strengthening and deepening the nation’s emerging democracy

The above description of IPAC tallies totally with the political belief and style of administration of the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who is well known for his inclusiveness style of politics, the politics of Omoluabi, that has reduced the political heat in Ogun State almost to a near zero”, he stated.

He said “We state categorically that IPAC is not an opposition body. It is not expected to be. However, while the individually parties can criticise or oppose the party or government in power, IPAC cannot and should not be seen as an opposition. The body should be seen as a partner in progress, who must exhaust all possible internal measures to interact with the government of the day”.

According to him, “The government will continue to keep its doors open to IPAC as a body and even to individual members/political parties for collaboration and cooperation. We are also using this occasion to appreciate the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its laudable roles so far”.

Also speaking at the inauguration, the Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC, Mr Niyi Ijalaye, while appreciating the body for its efforts, called for more supports in the area of Continuous Voters’ Registration exercise.

Ijalaye represented by Head of Department of General Admin and Procurement, Thomas Olawuyi, appealed to IPAC to cooperate with INEC in order for the commission attain successes in the conduct of forthcoming 2027 general elections.

He said “ As you are aware, in the next few months, we will be calling you (IPAC) for a meeting like this when political parties will be having congresses and some other activities like that. As you have been inaugurated today, in the next few months we will be having another Continuous Voters’ Registration exercise going forward to the 2027 general election”.

Ijalaye added “As we are speaking now, the 2027 election is not far, before we know it we are already there, so we are urging you to please cooperate with the commission so that we will be able to achieve the successes that we attained in the time past.

IPAC is one of the critical stakeholders and we want you to work closely with other stakeholders that will also be coming on board so that we can have a good outing in 2027″.

The newly elected chairman, comrade Sanyaolu Abayomi in his address, pledged that his leadership would be committed to upholding the principles of impartiality, fairness, and inclusivity which IPAC is known for.

He cautioned that the council should not be seen as an opposition body but rather a platform for dialogue, consensus-building among political parties and partner for good governance, Stressing the need for them to pursue peaceful and harmonious co-existence among the political parties at all times.

Sanyaolu said, “ We want the state government and entire politicians in Ogun state to give honour to IPAC. IPAC first is not working with opposition, it is not an opposition body it is an open body to all political party. So it cannot be used to endorse anybody.

If the government do well we would praise them and if they do otherwise we would challenge them”.

The highpoint of the occasion was the unveiling of educational support initiative to support primary and schools in the state.

Abayomi disclosed that the initiative would encompass distribution of note books to all schools in the 236 wards of the State.

He noted that the distribution of educational materials was part of

Plans of his administration in supporting the giant strides of Governor Abiodun in the education sector.

EZE PLEADS FOR CALM, GENUINE RECONCILIATION AND REBUILDING OF AMAECHI’S POLITICAL FAMILY FOR GREATER AND BETTER NIGERIA

Published

THE WIKE VS AMAECHI DEBATE PART TWO:

…..EZE DESCRIBES CLAIMS BY IKENGA THAT HE MADE AMAECHI AS IMBECILIC, FUTILE AND IRKING AS HIS CLOSE RELATIVE WHO KNOWS WHAT AMAECHI DID FOR HIM REACTS

“…AMAECHI in a recent video have stated that apart from God and should any man can claim credit of making him whatever he is by today that credit must go to Dr. Peter Odili erstwhile Governor of Rivers State and Amaechi’s mentor and that nothing on earth will make him or any member of his family to speak ill of Dr Odili and his family no matter the odds so only IKENGA knows how he is the one that made Amaechi, member of Rivers State House pf Assembly, Speaker, Governor and Minister as he stated above…”

IKENGA AND HIS OUTBURST:

“Chief Eze, do you know that but for God using me, there wouldn’t have been any Amaechi as Assembly member, Speaker, Governor, Minister etc. Go and ask him. Blackmailing me will lead to his failure in politics. QED

You are merely scratching the surface. When you do fair hearing, you will understand who Amaechi is.

Contrary to your assumption, Amaechi NEVER confronted me with any accusations but was the one who set up these distractions because of his inability to what he ought to do.

Relax, you will have details when the time comes. You talk about ingratitude, it is Amaechi that is Ungrateful to me and God will judge him and I whoever betrayed the other.

Thank you, Chief” Hon. Ikenga Chibuike.

IKENGA’S CLOSE RELATIVE DR KING O. FIRES BACK:

“Chief Eze, I must confess that you are an archive of records so far Rivers State politics is concerned but permit me also to note that you didn’t have enough details on what Amaechi have done to improve the life and status of my brother Ikenga.

Permit me therefore to expose some facts to you:

Apart from the little you highlighted about Ikenga, Amaechi influenced his appointment as Commissioner in River State Independent Electoral Commission.

2. After RSIEC, he was appointed Personal Aide (P.A) to Chief of Staff (Wike) by the same Amaechi.

3. Thereafter Ikenga was also appointed Personal Aide to Chris Obuh MD, NDDC where he made money and awarded contract of his personal houses same time, one at his home town, Igwuruta with his Port Harcourt own at Stadium Road at the cost of over #200 million. Where has he worked in his entire life to make such money, with other properties, spread round Port Harcourt, developed and undeveloped. Dr. King O. I.

FURTHER REACTIONS BY HON JAJA, CASTRO, DARLINGTON AND OKUJAGU

2.

“Chief Eze, Ikenga should hide his face in shame because he has no moral justification to say all he has said. This guy has earned so much from Amaechi, and I ask; Who has Ikenga raised or made?

He should remove the spec in his eyes before thinking of removing the other.” Hon. Castro

3.

Chief, sir, I am really amazed by the vituperations of Ikenga even though I have never seen him as man with dignity and integrity.

This is a man, Barr. Amaechi made a caretaker chairman of Ikwerre and also the leader of the LGA, even when the people of Ikwerre never liked him and stood against it.

Chief, I am very happy that we are all alive and we will see the end of it all and what would become of these ingrates and vultures that eat from someone else’s kill.” Hon. Fidelis Jaja

4.

Chief you finished him very well. It’s very unfortunate that hunger could cow Chibuike Ikenga to descend this low. 2027 is close, he should dust up to contest election.” Darlington

5.

Ikenga has never been a supporter of Amaechi and he will never be.All I know about Ikenga is that he is a serial betrayer, cos the Wike he is praising today has he not betrayed and stabbed him in his back?Ikenga can be described as a fare weather person.” Dennis Okujagu

FINALLY:

I need not respond to this latest onslaught by Ikenga rather I appeal to those very close to him to advise him accordingly.

But seriously we need to reexamine and ruminate extensively on the excerpt from Mr. Ikenga’s assertion, “Chief Eze, do you know that but for God using me, there wouldn’t have been any Amaechi as Assembly member, Speaker, Governor, Minister etc. Go and ask him. Blackmailing me will lead to his failure in politics. QED”

From the above, one wonders weather Ikenga is the father of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi who brought him into this world and Amaechi’s Guardian who sent him to school and ensured that he became a student Union Leader; or the destiny helper who inspired Peter Odili to engage Amaechi after his University Studies and directed the same Peter Odili to encourage Amaechi to contest the State House of Assembly election and that Ikenga lobbied the members of the State Assembly to ensure that Amaechi became the Speaker and from there directed the Speakers of the whole Country to elect Amaechi as the Chairman of Nigeria Speakers’ Forum.

This Ikenga must be so powerful for achieving all these in the life of Amaechi!!

The powerful Ikenga,

from the point espoused above, seem to be the one who battled the Supreme Court of Nigeria to ensure that Amaechi became the Governor of Rivers State.

It could also be Ikenga, the Iroko, who intimidated President Jonathan and Wike through Mbu to make the life of Amaechi as Governor miserable to the extent of forcing him out of PDP and in the process connected Amaechi to Buhari, Tinubu, Ogbonnaya Onu and the six PDP Governors with whom he joined forces to make APC the winning party during the 2014 and 2019 general elections. IKENGA THE GREAT! !

Ikenga, the Anointer of Amaechi could also have been the one who directed Buhari to ensure that Amaechi was appointed the Minister of Transportation.

Na wao o. Some people can be very funny by overestimating their personalities.

AMAECHI in a recent video have stated that apart from God and should any man can claim credit of making him whatever he is by today that credit must go to Dr. Peter Odili erstwhile Governor of Rivers State and Amaechi’s mentor and that nothing on earth will make him or any member of his family to speak ill of Dr Odili and his family no matter the odds so only IKENGA knows how he is the one that made Amaechi, member of Rivers State House pf Assembly, Speaker, Governor and Minister as he stated above

Finally my brother Ikenga, on your counsel of knowing Amaechi better, I am satisfied with the little I know of him and if what Dr King said about what Amaechi did for you doesn’t make any sense to you simply for the fact that he didn’t reappoint you as the Care-Taker Chairman of Ikwerre LGA and you still feel that he need to be vilified then let it be.

As much as I cannot claim to know Amaechi better than you or any of his relatives and not minding all that I may have said above including the comments of Dr King and others, the fact remains that Amaechi is an INSTITUTION and in that capacity many, including you, may have contributed so much in making him whatever he is today but for an individual to claim of making him is futile and in fact, annoying.

The only thing that I know is that Amaechi’s destiny is in God’s Hands and no amount of ill-will and hate will derail God’s purpose for his life and destiny.

We all profess Christ, let us do our best not only to learn how to forgive but to abide by the dictates of Christ’s Life.

In this regard, I appeal to all those who for one reason or the other left the political family of Amaechi to embrace Wike to retrace their steps and come back home so that we can collectively rebuild the family for a greater and better Nigeria. This appeal becomes imperative now that it has become obvious that Wike has continued to drown deeper and deeper into political oblivion, having constituted himself into a societal nuisance.

Lastly for those who are going about spreading falsehood against me that I have something against IKENGA, far from that Ikenga remains my brother and friend as he is fully aware that i was only responding to some of the issues he raised against his benefactor and as a child of God i hate to turn blind eyes to such issues
