….PRO unveils State Commandant’s portrait.

 

 

 

The Public Relations Officer, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, DSC Oluwaseun Abolurin has once again avowed his team’s unflinching commitment towards galvanizing updated skills, experience, creativity and knowledge gathered from privileged internal and external resourcefulness to building a greater image for the Command and Corps in general.

 

The PRO seized this privilege to commend the NSCDC, Lagos State Commandant, Mr Adedotun Keshinro for approving a maiden periodical re – orientation programme tagged, “Lagos NSCDC Public Relations Clinic.” The Clinic aimed at deploying technology to project the achievements of the command viz a viz its statutory mandates via monthly offline and online seminars with facilitators and participants from the Corps and across all sectors.

 

“The launch of this maiden event, which will birth the continuous periodic clinic is also expected to draw the attention of government, stakeholders and the good people of the state to have a deeper idea on the workings and functions of the Corps so as to make them mini security personnel in their own right,” Keshinro said.

 

“Recall that training and retraining of personnel remains one of the focal vision of our amiable and erudite Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD., mni, OFR,” Keshinro said.

 

The PRO also unveiled the portrait of the Lagos State Commandant in his office with the Divisional Officer, Amuwo Odofin Division, Superintendents of Corps Adisa Adijat Adenike and Egeonu Chidi Caroline represented by her staff.

FPRO Urges Policemen To Act Like Angels When People Seek Help From Them.

ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, has urged officers to be above board and suspicion, stating that officers are to be angels to the people who cry to them.

 

Olumuyiwa disclosed this in a video shared on the Nigerian Police Force’s Facebook page on Saturday, with the caption, “As a police officer, you are to be above board and suspicion… You are to be an ‘angel’ to people who cry to you. ”

 

Olumuyiwa said that the Nigerian Police is a force with zero tolerance for unprofessionalism.

 

He said, “The police remain that agency that will always fish out Its personnel involved in any criminal activities.

 

“For those who are still in the business, who are still our members, who are still into dirty deals, as a police officer, you are expected to be above board and suspicion.

 

“You are to be an angel to people who cry to you. You are to be a pillar for them not to cause pains and agonies to members of the public.”

…….as car driver survives unhurt with support by Lastma Officials.

 

A fully loaded 40fts Mack articulated truck today fell on a Nissan Car (ABJ 692 BG) and instantly killed a woman at the rear of the car while the car driver survived unhurt with support by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) Officials by N.N.P.C inward Estate, Alapere, Lagos.

 

The Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of LASTMA Mr. Adebayo Taofiq confirmed that the driver of the Mack articulated truck with his motor-boy ran away immediately the fatal accident occurred.

 

Preliminary investigations revealed that the driver of Mack articulated 40 ft fully loaded container, while on a high speed lost control as a result of a brake failure and rammed into a moving Nissan car on motion by N.N.P.C inward Alapere, Ogudu along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Lagos.

 

Lastma Alabi Olukayode (Zone 2, Ogudu/Alapere) disclosed that Lastma handed over the evacuated dead body (woman) to Police men from Alapere Police Station.

 

According to Zebra Alabi Olukayode, “lastma officials and passers-by including the LASEMA Response Unit (LRU) were involved in the rescue operations.

 

Other emergency responders at the scene of the fatal accident include Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS), Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and the Police.

 

Also at the accident scene were the LASTMA General Manager, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, LASTMA Director of Traffic Incidents, Event Monitoring, Enforcement and Compliance Mr. Hakeem Adeosun and the LASTMA rescue team.

 

General Manager of LASTMA Mr. Olalekan Bakare Oki however warned motoring public particularly truck drivers to stop over speeding and ensure their vehicles are properly checked including the braking system before embarking on any journey within or outside the State.

ACCIDENT : LASTMA RESCUES 18 ACCIDENT VICTIMS AS LT COMMERCIAL BUS INVOLVES IN A LONE ACCIDENT ON 3RD MAINLAND BRIDGE, LAGOS

The Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) today rescued 18 seriously injured accident victims at Adekunle inward Adeniji Adele on Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos.

This was disclosed to the media in a statement released by the Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of LASTMA Mr. Adebayo Taofiq stating that 18 seriously injured passengers were rescued by Lastma Official from Zone (1) Lagos Island.

From the statement, Preliminary investigations revealed that a 20 fully loaded LT Commercial Bus (FKJ 872 YA) while on a high speed lost control as a result of a brake failure and was about to fall inside lagoon before it was stopped by tha rail of 3rd Mainland Bridge.

While the truck driver ran away after the accident, Police men from Adeniji Adele Police Station provided security backup during the rescue of 18 seriously injured passengers by Lastma Officials.

Lastma Ojo-Oniyun Olamide (One Alpha, Zone 1 Lagos Island) who led the recovery operations confirmed that his team immediately evacuated the LT Commercial bus off the road for an unhindered free vehicular movement inward Adeniji Adele area of Lagos Island.

Meanwhile, the Marine rescue team already inside lagoon on search and rescue mission to see if any of those passengers fell inside the lagoon.

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services and other emergency stakeholders on ground at the accident scene.

The General Manager of LASTMA Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki however warned mortoring public to stop over speeding and ensure their vehicles are properly checked including the braking system before embarking on any journey within or outside the State.
