The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Anambra State Command has announced a collaboration with the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Retailers Association (LPGAR) to improve safety in gas storage, sales, and distribution in the state.
Commandant Maku Olatunde, while hosting the Anambra State Chapter Chairman of LPGAR, Comrade Nwabueze Ihere, emphasized the importance of safety precautions to eliminate dangerous practices in the oil and gas sector.
He assured the association of the Command’s support and partnership for improved safety in their operations.
Comrade Ihere raised concerns about substandard cylinders and liquefied petroleum gas with high propane content in circulation and expressed the union’s readiness to collaborate with the NSCDC to ensure sanity in the state.
The partnership aims to improve safety and security, combat illegal activities, and ensure compliance with international best practices in the oil and gas sector.
