Ondo State Government Announces Youth Empowerment Retreat

The Ondo State Government has unveiled plans to host a comprehensive youth retreat aimed at empowering young people across the state, following the successful empowerment of 20 young entrepreneurs with N3 million each.

 

This 3-day event, scheduled to hold at Nibanola Resort in Ondo from October 2nd to 4th, 2024, is designed to equip participants with skills and knowledge for self-reliance, regardless of their political affiliations.

 

According to Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Mr. Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, “This retreat is aimed at empowering and reorienting our youths, equipping them with the necessary tools to become self-reliant.

 

It is part of our broader strategy to foster youth development across the state, regardless of political affiliations”.

 

The event is a public-private partnership initiative, offering a platform for youths to showcase their creativity, learn new skills, and engage in discussions shaping their future.

– Talk Shows

– Award Presentations

 

Top entrepreneurs and prominent personalities from Ondo State will mentor and inspire participants, including the Minister of State for Youths Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande.

 

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa will receive a comprehensive policy document on youth development and reward the top 20 best participants with N500,000 each.

 

The retreat aims to develop the talents of Ondo’s youths, ensuring they leave with practical skills for personal growth, aligning with the government’s efforts to prioritize youth empowerment and create sustainable opportunities.
