Rite Foods Limited, Nigeria’s leading food and beverage manufacturer, brought colour, energy, and corporate pride to the 2025 edition of the Ojude Oba Festival, reaffirming its longstanding commitment to cultural heritage and community empowerment.

Held on Sunday, 8 June 2025, the annual festival, themed “Celebrating Our Roots, Preserving Our Future,” drew more than one million participants including indigenes, tourists, and cultural enthusiasts from Nigeria and beyond. The festival’s centrepiece was the spectacular parade of regberegbe (age-grade groups) in ornate traditional wear, many arriving on horseback to honour the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona.

Corporate Commitment to Culture

Rite Foods’ Managing Director and CEO, Seleem Adegunwa, stated:

“Our continued support of Ojude Oba stems from our commitment to cultural preservation and the values of unity, pride, and tradition it embodies. As a proudly Nigerian company with roots in Ijebuland, we are honoured to play a role in sustaining this legacy.”

Also speaking, the company’s Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Ekuma Eze, highlighted Rite Foods’ identity as an active corporate citizen of Ijebuland:

“Whatever the aspirations of Ijebu people are, we share in them. As a brand proudly made in Nigeria and made for Nigerians, our presence here is a natural expression of our identity and responsibility.”

Cultural Pageantry Meets Brand Energy

Rite Foods delivered an engaging display during the traditional homage to the Awujale. A team dressed in vibrant Sosa Fruit Drink-inspired outfits, featuring their iconic green hats, wowed the crowd with an acrobatic performance, drawing applause from guests and dignitaries.
