Rite Foods Limited has once again proven its commitment to youth empowerment and community engagement by partnering with the Ibadan Chops and Chills Festival 2.0, which took place on December 1st, 2024, in Ibadan, Oyo State. The event brought together a vibrant mix of youths, bakers, food vendors, and culinary enthusiasts, offering a dynamic platform to promote both local talent and the rich cultural heritage of Oyo State and Nigeria.

 

The festival, attended by hundreds of food lovers, entrepreneurs, and government representatives, celebrated creativity, innovation, and the diverse flavors of the region.

 

Among the notable guests were representatives from the Oyo State government, media professionals, students, and food aficionados, all coming together to enjoy a day filled with culinary delights, live entertainment, and festivities.

Honorable Wasilat Adefemi Adegoke, the Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, graced the festival as the Special Guest of Honour.

 

In her address, she commended the event, noting its alignment with the state government’s goals of empowering the youth, promoting cultural heritage, and fostering talent. “This initiative is one of the best I have seen. It aligns perfectly with our administration’s goals of empowering the youth, promoting cultural heritage, and fostering talent.

 

Under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, we are committed to supporting such programs that encourage self-expression and skill development,” Adegoke remarked. She further pledged continued support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports for future editions, emphasizing the state’s ongoing dedication to youth development and innovation.

 

Chinwendu Festus, the CEO of Wendy’s Kitchen and Convener of the Ibadan Chops and Chills Festival, expressed her gratitude and shared her motivation behind organizing the event.

 

“The first edition of Ibadan Chops and Chills was a success, which inspired us to aim higher this year. Our goal is to provide young people with the space to showcase their culinary talents, grow their businesses, and connect with a broader audience.” She also thanked Rite Foods, UBA, and performing artists for their significant contributions to bringing the festival to life.
