Uproar as Mercy Aigbe finally unveils new husband
Actress Mercy Aigbe has finally unveiled her new husband four years after leaving her erstwhile husband, Lanre Gentry.
The mother of two was rumoured on December 31, 2021 to have secretly had her Nikkah with an entertainment mogul.
She was seen all glammed in Muslim regalia in a video flaunting her ring with the stylist echoing “Agbeke Aya d’owner”.
She had hinted she was seeing someone else in her social media posts.
After years of rumour, she finally unveiled her new lover on Instagram, posting a lovely pose with founder of Adekaz production, Kazim Adeoti.
She wrote: “it’s my Boo’s birthday in a bit Cc @Kazimadeoti thank you for being amazing.”
Colleagues and fans responded to the post almost immediately.
Nkechiblessing wrote: “Yasssssss!!!!!!!!! My own Mummy and super daddy.”
Bobrisky222 said: “Awwww he is an amazing man.“
Annemarieonche commented: “Wait! But this man has a wife now”

The popular movie producer and owner of online streaming platform IbakaTV, Kazim Adeoti, the popular movie producer and owner of online streaming platform, Ibaka TV, was reportedly married to Funsho Adeoti with four kids.
Reacting to Mercy Aigbe’s post, her ex-husband Lanre Gentry, posted an old picture of himself, Mercy Aigbe, Kazim Adeoti and Funsho Adeoti with the caption: “At last I thank God the truth is out this is one out of many to God be the glory. I don’t need anyone to comment please.”
Lanre Gentry allegedly accused the movie star of having affairs with her producers and marketers.

Cubana Chief Priest Speaks After Pleading Not Guilty To Naira Abuse
Okechekwu Pascal, Nigerian Celebrity Barman cum social media influencer, known as Cubana Chief Priest, has broken silence following his ordeal with the operatives of the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Cubana Chief Priest earlier entered a ‘not guilty’ plea to charges of tampering and abusing the naira during his arraignment at the Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday.
The socialite faced three counts of naira abuse stemming from his actions at some social events and was charged before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos by the Economic and Finacial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Cubana Chief Priest was later granted a bail of ₦10 million with two sureties in like sum by the court after pleading not guilty to the charges brought against him.
A few minutes after the court judgement, the socialite posted about not being small on his Instagram page.
He wrote, “Seeing All You Messages & Love I’m So Humbled. Now It’s Confirmed CP No Small. Money Na Water”
EFCC Just Scapegoating Celebrities – Seun Jimoh
Meanwhile, popular Nollywood actor, Seun Jimoh has accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) of “scapegoating” celebrities in its ongoing clampdown on Naira abusers.
He stated this in an Instagram post on Tuesday while reacting to the news that the EFCC is set to arraign popular socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, for Naira abuse.
The arraignment of Cubana Chief Protest comes days after popular crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, was sent to six months imprisonment for a similar offence.
Jimoh said it is unfair that certain people are being selected for a crime almost 70% of Nigerians or more are guilty of with overwhelming video evidence all over the internet.

Junior Pope: Late Nollywood Makeup Artist, Abigail Frederick, Buried In Akwa Ibom
The late Nollywood makeup artist, Abigail Fredrick, has been laid to rest in her hometown in Ikot Udoma, Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, on Monday.
The 24 year old was among the five film practitioners, including Junior Pope, who died when their boat capsized on the River Niger last Wednesday.
According to PUNCH Online, the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, instructed that her body be returned to the state for a proper burial after she was said to have been buried by the riverbank.
Following the governor’s directive, her body was exhumed on Sunday, April 14.
A candle-light procession was also said to have been held in her honour.
A Facebook user, Ubong David, who shared pictures from the burial on Monday wrote, “Today, the late Abigail Frederick, the Nollywood makeup artist who tragically lost her life in the ill-fated boat mishap, has been laid to rest at the family compound in Ikot Udoma, Eket Local Government Area.
“The funeral service was conducted by the Church of Christ, Ikot Udoma, and was attended by various dignitaries, including the Eket Transition Committee Chairman, Akaniyene Tommey; Commissioner for Tourism, Charles Udoh; SA on Entertainment, Moses Eskor; Godfada Uko, members of the Eket Transition Committee, Nollywood actress, Eve Esin, the Nollywood community, friends, and sympathisers.”

Junior Pope:Stop linking death to marine kingdom, prophet Fufeyin warns
Billionaire prophet and General Overseer of Christ Mercy Land Church in Warri Delta State, Prophet Fufeyin, has warned people against linking the death of the late nollywood actor, popularly called Junior Pope to marine kingdom.
Fufeyin, while reacting to some acclaimed worshippers of marine kingdom, who noted that the nollywood actor was a victim of lack of sacrifice to spiritual and elements said there is no power above the power of Jesus Christ.
Amidst the prayers and condolences pouring in for the deceased actor and his colleagues, a controversial comment about their deaths had caught the attention of the renowned clergyman linking the sad incident to marine kingdom.
A self-proclaimed agent of the marine kingdom declared that the unfortunate boat accident was a result of a sacrifice demanded by the water spirits.
The agent further claimed that Junior Pope and his companions must be buried beside the river Niger, where the incident occurred.
Prophet Fufeyin, known for his bold and unapologetic defense of Christianity, wasted no time in responding as he declared in a video message obtained by journalist that “water power is less than Jesus Christ power.”
