The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), the leading Voice in the organised Private Sector in Nigeria, is set to host the 9th edition of the Information, Communication, Technology and Telecommunications (ICTEL) Expo, With the theme; “Tech Disrupt: Transforming Industries With Innovation.
The Physical event will take place at Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria on Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th July, 2023 while the Online event will take place on all Social Media platforms of the Chamber.
While addressing media at the Press Conference, the Chairman Trade Promotion Board, Eng. Leye Kupoluyi, appreciate the media for standing by the chamber as the voice of the Nigerian private sector and acknowledged the support and endorsement of partners and collaborators.
In his words, “I will not fail to mention that the media has always stood by this Board and the Chamber in its entirety as the voice of the private sector in Nigeria”.
“Our gratitude goes to our endorsing partners, collaborators, and other stakeholders here present to witness this occasion.
Since inception, we have enjoyed the endorsement of the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, the Nigeria Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Galaxy Backbone Limited, and Rack Centre just to mention a few. This year, joining that list are Lagos State Employment Trust Fund, Exam Padi, Arnergy and some other reputable brands that will be signed on today, and those that will come in before the event day.”
Eng. Leye in his speech reinstate the importance of providing platforms for SMEs and Nigerian Start Ups to practically demonstrate their various New Tech Ideas which will enable them have desirable turnover and fit in the global competition for the Business and Technology Community.
He said; “In order to sustain innovation and catch up with the world, Nigerian startups must be given platform to practically demonstrate their new technological discoveries which will enable them to have desirable turnover, increase profit merging, gain market share, and enhance customer loyalty. This will no doubt make them to be more globally competitive”.
The Director General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Chinyere Almona emphasized the benefits exhibitors will derive from participating in the expo which include; opportunities for Start Ups to present their innovative ideas to potential investors via pitching sessions, co-working space vouchers, product demos, product launch for Start Ups etc.
With over 1500 visitors and 40 booths designed for exhibitors almost sold out, the two day event will also be show casing practical technological demonstrations and presentation by students from Secondary schools and tertiary institutions.
