The Anambra State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Maku Olatunde, has emphasized the importance of discipline and operational excellence among personnel, urging them to maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
Comdt. Maku Olatunde stated:
“Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and excellence in your duties… Enhanced discipline and operational excellence are crucial for our success.”
He cautioned against illicit activities such as job racketeering, employment scams, and promotion scams, warning that offenders will face dismissal.
The State NSCDC Boss also emphasized the importance of maintaining a professional image and encouraged personnel to view transfers as opportunities for career growth.
He highlighted initiatives undertaken by the Commandant General to address stagnation, promote personnel development, and enhance welfare packages.
Comdt. Maku conveyed the Federal Government’s appreciation for the Corps’ professional conduct during recent protests and reminded personnel to focus on core responsibilities, including crisis management and safeguarding critical national assets, while fostering collaboration with other security agencies.
In his concluding remarks, Comdt. Maku reiterated the need for discipline and operational excellence, urging personnel to uphold the Corps’ standards.
