Omotola Jalade Ekeinde Speaks on Trust and Peace in Marriage

Published

on

Award-winning actress and philanthropist, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, has opened up about her secret to a peaceful and fulfilling marriage, revealing that she no longer allows suspicion to influence her relationship with her husband.

In a post that has since gone viral, the Nollywood star shared how letting go of control and choosing to trust her husband has given her emotional peace.

“I sleep well at night—not because my husband is perfect, but because I stopped playing detective in a story where I’m already the leading lady,” she stated.

Ekeinde, who is married to Captain Matthew Ekeinde, a pilot whose job takes him across continents, explained that her decision to stop monitoring his messages or seeking evidence of infidelity has strengthened their bond.

“One thing that has really helped me enjoy my marriage is this, I don’t check my husband’s messages. I married a very charming man with a noble job that takes him around the world like a bird. Every single day, he meets beautiful, smart, educated, and hot women.”

“And yes, I know those young girls who love fine zaddies are not smiling, they will definitely try to get his attention. But honestly, I don’t even act like they exist. I don’t imagine things, I don’t check his phone, I don’t go through his private messages. He’s my man. I’m his wife. And my purpose is simple, to give him peace, that’s my power.”

Her message has sparked discussions online about the role of trust and emotional intelligence in modern relationships, particularly in the lives of high-profile couples.

Nosa Marshal Set to Drop “Reason” — A Soul-Stirring Anthem for Humanity

Published

on

Afrobeat visionary and founder of the Ighede Sound, Nosa Marshal, is gearing up to release his new song titled “Reason”, a bold and conscious musical project grounded in humanity, self-awareness, and hope.

In an exclusive chat with NigeriaUpdates, the singer described Reason as a reflection of “beliefs and hopes, shortcomings and mindsets,” emphasizing a “right sense of reality in the right direction for humanity’s sake.”

The track is set to officially drop in one month, and will be available across all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Audiomack, and YouTube under IN RECORDS.

The song, which is part of a broader project, features rising vocalist Little Vicky, who Nosa describes as “a special singer.” While Reason was self-produced, Nosa hinted at plans to collaborate with producers on future projects.

Creating his own distinct genre known as Ighede Sound, Nosa defines it as a spiritual evolution out of traditional Afrobeat. “Afrobeat proper is bone in me,” he said, “My sounds are unique and universal.”

Speaking on the journey so far, he added: “For me, it’s an adventure and a transition — focusing on the right sense of reality for humanity’s sake. Through a legal platform, I.C.F.F (Igbinomwanhia Children First Foundation), I want to help make the world better for our children’s children.”

His musical philosophy blends activism with melody. “Music to me is the combination of positive lyrics into progressive energy for better, happy communities. Music is a tool,” he said.

Despite the challenges, Nosa remains dedicated.

“To be a consistent musician like I am is not bread and butter,” he said. “I got the calling, I worked hard, and my destination is real. I strive to be a positive role model with moral lyrics — the way music should be.”

Looking ahead, fans can expect upcoming performances, tours, and public programmes, as he promises to remain grounded and connected.

“I tried so well to be a friend,” he noted. “My fans, families, and friends will be re-educated in the right direction, through the front doors — never again through the backdoors.”

Though a music video is still under consideration, Nosa assures fans that the journey has only just begun.

“Words are not enough to appreciate them all,” he said. “Keep streaming, supporting, and standing by me and the I.C.F.F. Together, we’re preserving our culture in the right sense of reality. I LOVE YOU ALL TO THE BONES. CREATOR bless us all.”

AY Makun Opens Up About Painful Separation From Wife Mabel After 20 Years of Marriage

Published

on

Nigerian comedian and actor Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has broken his silence on his recent separation from his wife, Mabel, after over two decades of marriage. In an emotional statement, AY reflected on the journey of their relationship, the challenges that led to its breakdown, and the lessons he’s learned through it all.

“I was married to my wife, Mabel, for over 20 years. We shared beautiful memories, built a home together, and raised a lovely daughter. But as time went on, our relationship began to change. I won’t sit here and pretend I was perfect—there were things I did wrong. I made mistakes that hurt her, and I take full responsibility for my part in the breakdown of our marriage,” AY confessed.

The comedian admitted that the separation was neither anticipated nor desired.

“This separation wasn’t something I planned for or wanted. Nobody goes into marriage thinking it will end one day. But life happens. We both grew in different directions, and we started living more like strangers under the same roof than husband and wife,” he explained.

Despite the split, AY expressed admiration for his former partner.

“Mabel is a good woman and a wonderful mother, and I respect her deeply. Even though we’re no longer together, I still want the best for her. I’ve learned so many lessons from this experience—about love, commitment, forgiveness, and humility,” he said.

Addressing his fans, AY reminded them that behind the humour, public figures also face personal battles.

“To my fans, I want you to understand that even comedians cry. We laugh and entertain you, but we go through pain too. I just hope to continue growing as a person, be there for my daughters, and maybe one day find peace and happiness again,” he concluded.
