…Recalls His Encounter with this Man of Grace
“….During the 1999 general elections, I was instrumental to his election as Governor of Adamawa State, as I mobilised both the Igbo and South-South people under the platforms of Igbo Crusaders Political Platform and South East/South-South Amalgamated Movement (SESSAM ) both of which were the products of my endeavors.
During one of his campaign meetings in Yola, I donated sports equipment and a cheque to assist him in the election…..” Chief Eze
Preamble
Alh. Atiku Abubakar GCON, erstwhile Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, one time Turaki Adamawa is currently the Waziri Adamawa – (Warrior of Adamawa Emirate Council) and second in command to the Lamido Adamawa, the Traditional Ruler of the great Adamawa Emirate covering some parts of Nigeria and Cameron.
The Adamawa Emirate is a traditional state located in Fombina, an area which now roughly corresponds to areas of Adamawa State and Taraba state in Nigeria, and previously also in the three northern regions of Cameroon (Far North, North, and Adamawa), including minor Parts of Chad and the Central African Republic.
When Atiku was turbanned as the 7th Waziri of Adamawa Emirate making him the next to the Lamido of Adamawa, Muhammadu Barkindo, in the hierarchy in the emirate.
According to the Lamido of Adamawa, Mr Abubakar was honoured with the title of Waziri because of his immense contributions to the development of Nigeria, particularly Adamawa State, where his impact was felt in various sectors.
“Atiku has also contributed greatly to unifying the people of Adamawa and providing useful advice to the emirate.
“The position of Waziri, which is the highest in the council puts him in charge of administration of the emirate and is given to people who are educated, honest and God fearing.
“It’s not hereditary and can go to anyone who deserves it.”
PROF GIDADO AND THE UNBLEMISHED RECORDS OF ATIKU ABUBAKAR
I have chronicled all that need to be known about Atiku in my book yet to be published titled, “The Man Atiku Abubakar: From Obscurity To Limelight” but to espouse him better, I will refer to Prof Maxwell Gidado, one of Nigerian’s most successful and influential Constitutional Lawyer during a historical event organized by the GANYE CHIEFDOM in his honour recently, he postulated and I quote, ” ATIKU at 77, it can no longer be argued whether a man or woman is a success or a failure. For Atiku Abubakar, his life as a success is crystally clear! His success in public service, in entrepreneurship, in politics and in philanthropy has come from sheer hard work and determination. Springing from very humble circumstances in Jada, Jada LGA, Adamawa State on November 25th 1946, Atiku was bent from a young age to take his destiny in his own hands; a spirit of resilience which has seen him cap his academic accomplishments with a Master of Arts in International Relations recently from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, United Kingdom.
Prof Gidado who can be described as one of most loyal disciple of Atiku went further to state, “Long and rigorous journey in search for the golden fleece which began in rural Jada Primary School a long time ago through, Adamawa Provincial Secondary School, Kano School of Hygiene, where he studied for the Royal Society of Health Diploma, and at the same time, read for “A” levels at the British Council, to the famous Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria where he earned a Diploma in Law in 1969.
It was here his interest in leadership and public service began as he took part in Student Union Politics, and was elected Assistant Secretary General and later Deputy
Speaker of the Students’ Union Government of the Ahmadu Bello University. This experience enriched his young political mind.
ATIKU’S FEATS AS A NATIONAL LEADER
Atiku joined the Nigeria Customs Service in 1969, went through the crucible of Customs and public service career; attended leadership and management courses in Finland, U.S.A and Egypt and rose to the position of Deputy Director within 20 years before his voluntary retirement in 1986.
Upon retirement, Atiku went into private business and later launched an active political career with its ups and downs, risks to personal life and those of family members till he was elected as Governor of Adamawa State and later Vice President of Nigeria in 1999. He had before then, been elected member of the National Constitutional Conference (1994 – 1995). He was a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party that governed Nigeria for sixteen years and before that, a founding member of the Peoples’ Front (PF), and Social Democratic Party (SDP) at different times.
As Vice President, Atiku was the Chairman of the National Economic Council, and oversaw the National Council on Privatization, and many other presidential committees, including the task force that admirably
organized Nigeria’s hosting of the 2004 Commonwealth Summit. Atiku is widely recognized as a committed democrat and a courageous fighter against executive impunity and the militarization of national politics.
HIS PHILANTROPHY AND FEATS
A committed philanthropist, Atiku has helped communities build schools, mosques and churches across the nation, including the prestigious American University of Nigeria, Yola. He has awarded scholarships to several Nigerians and Africans to enable them obtain good quality education, and funded critical medical treatment for several of his fellow citizens. Atiku has also made major financial commitments in support of people living with disabilities as well as for the eradication of such debilitating and fatal diseases as polio and HIV / AIDS. But it is in the field of education that his philanthropy comes to the fore. He has helped almost any educational institution that approached him for assistance. His grassroots passion and humanitarian instincts have endeared Atiku to people from all nooks and crannies of Nigeria. So confident and acceptable is he to every national grouping that a columnist recently tagged him – “Mr. Nigeria”. Little wonder that Gen. Ibrahim Babangida in 2013 at a book launch of the “Atiku Abubakar Cases” described him as the “Most Prepared Presidential Candidate for this Country”.
Atiku Abubakar is the veritable phoenix of our democratic future. For out of the ashes of despair, brutality, cynicism and strife of yesteryears has emerged this pillar of freedom, democracy, justice and hope. The greatness of birth is not in being blue-blooded; it is in being able to survive despite all the odds. Success is not judged only by what has been achieved but also by the obstacles surmounted to achieve it. That is Atiku Abubakar in true perspective.
A fellow of St. Anthony’s College, Oxford University and General School for Diplomacy and International Relations, Switzerland – LL.D. etc. Atiku holds honorary doctorate degrees from several Nigerian Universities – amongst them are; Ahmadu Bello University, University of Maiduguri Modibbo Adama University of Technology Yola, University of Calabar, Bayero University Kano, etc. He was bestowed with Nigeria’s second highest national honour, the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON). He was also awarded the Harris Wofford Global Citizen Award by the National Peace Corps Association of the United State of America.
HIS TRADITIONAL TITLES
Atiku holds the traditional title of Waziri Adamawa and twelve other traditional titles across Nigeria to mention just a few- namely; Zege Mule u Tiv, Zanna Santalma of Borno, Zanna Kawaskima of Yobe, Shetima of Biu, Mayobero of Lagos, Nwanne Di na Mba of Ngor-Okpala , Imo State and Enyioha Ndigbo to mention but a few.
With all that Prof. Gidado has said, it is very clear to any open minded reader that the man Atiku is truly a great gift to the nation.
EXPOSING THE TRUE NATURE OF ATIKU
Accordingly, Atiku is always one to engender innovations, a bridge builder, a tireless activist, a successful businessman, a philanthropist, a committed patriot, an authentic progressive democrat, an inspiration to his compatriots, a delight to his elders and associates, founder American University of Nigeria, a role model for today’s generation, a devoted husband and father, harbinger of consensus politics, the Waziri Adamawa, former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Atiku Abubakar and the most prepared President the Federal Republic of Nigeria yet to have.
MY EXPLOITS IN THE DEFUNCT GONGOLA STATE AND GRADUATION FROM ATIKU’S POLITICAL SCHOOL
In 1989, after my graduation from the University of Calabar as a sort of punishment in the hands of the then Students Affairs Officer, Mr. P. Olowajabi, for daring to challenge him in regard to the welfare of students, I was posted to the then Gongola State.
After due consultation with God and my family, I boarded a bus from Onitsha to Yola five days before the formal opening of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Camp for Orientation for the 1989/90 NYSC Service Year. At the end of the Orientation, I was declared the Best Corps Member and subsequently appointed as the Corps Liaison Officer, CLO, for Yola Local Government and the Coordinating Chairman of all CLOs of the defunct Gongola State comprising the present-day Adamawa and Taraba States.
With my position as the number one corps member in the state, I formed the Gongola State Corps Members Association through which I appointed Atiku Abubakar then Head of the Customs including the then Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Murtala Nyako, Hajiya Fatima Balla Abubakar, Alhaji Gambo Jimeta (then Inspector-General of Police, IGP), and other great sons of Adamawa State as patrons and matrons.
I used this office to construct and donate the first Bus Stop in Yola town and I also donated a police traffic stand to the Gongola Police headquarters, thus becoming the first and only Corps member in Nigeria to have served the nation without collecting a dime by way of allowance, for personal use. I ploughed back all the allowances to my community through donation of books, mats, and other items, to schools and the Muslim community in Yola.
At the end of my Youth Service and on the advice of the late Lamido of Adamawa, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Aliyu Mustapha, to the then Chiroma Adamawa who is the present Lamido, I was engaged temporarily by the Gongola State Sports Council where I resigned after few months to set up Eze Continental Sports outfit which later was upgraded to Eze Continental Investment Ltd. With this business outfit, I was able to sponsor various sports competitions within both Adamawa and Taraba States. The records show that I was one of the most outstanding philanthropists within that region during my stay in that golden state which spawned a cumulative period of over 20 years.
It was during this period that I met Atiku Abubakar formally and that was immediately after his retirement from the Customs, during the Inter House Sports Competition of the Federal Government College, Yola, in which he was invited as the Special Guest of Honour in 1988.
During the 1999 general elections, I was instrumental to his election as Governor of Adamawa State, as I mobilised both the Igbo and South-South people under the platforms of Igbo Crusaders Political Platform and South East/South-South Amalgamated Movement (SESSAM ) both of which were the products of my endeavors.
During one of his campaign meetings in Yola, I donated sports equipment and a cheque to assist him in the election.
With the elevation of Atiku Abubakar from a duly elected Governor of Adamawa State to the office of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the need for the formation of some national pressure groups became imperative. I was thus duly appointed as the Spokesperson for the most organised and dreaded Turaki Vanguard, a post I used to strengthen the politics of the then Turakin Adamawa and with the efforts of some other patriotic Nigerians, we were able to scuttle the third term bid of the former President, General Olusegun Obasanjo.
One account that interests me much during my tenure as the National Director in charge of Publicity and Public Administration of Turaki Vanguard was when General Olusegun Obasanjo threatened to sack Atiku as his Vice President. I issued a statement while in Lagos to exchange idea with the Lagos Press alongside Alhaji Lai Mohammed (Former present Minister of Information) who was in charge of Publicity of the then Action Congress (AC), threatening to mobilise 500,000 Nigerian youths to Abuja to occupy Aso Rock. Based on that, General Obasanjo summoned an emergency Security Council Meeting. Obasanjo’s action was based on his informed knowledge on the strength of Turaki Vanguard.
When I arrived Abuja, after the successful media outing in Lagos, I visited the residence of Atiku, where met grave silence on the spot; an unusual scenario. I was later told by Atiku’s Chief Security Officer, Mallam Mahmud, that President Obasanjo had convened an emergency Security Council Meeting which they feared might lead to Atiku’s removal from office. I laughed it off and told him the reason the Security Council meeting was being held. It was the offshoot of the statement I issued threatening to mobilise Nigerian youths to occupy Aso Rock. Immediately, CSO Mahmud left to tell Oga(Atiku) that the emergency Security Council meeting was being held because of the ‘madness’ of Chief Eze. It was then Atiku came out from his office and left for a meeting outside the Villa.
While, I was being hounded and searched for by security agencies at my Yola residence, I was at the Villa and little did they know that I was in their midst. They did not know in person who this Chief Eze was.
I became the darling of most of Nigerian newspapers.
ATIKU AND MY MOVEMENT TO RIVERS STATE
My Movement to the Garden City stemmed immediately the Action Congress Presidential Campaign Committee was disbanded. The then National Secretary of Turaki Vanguard, Hon. Lanre Fayemi, visited Port Harcourt to monitor how the governorship Campaign Team of Prince Tonye Princewill, the party’s guber candidate in Rivers state then, was being managed. Few days after, Fayemi intimated the Prince that his Campaign team was not doing enough. There, he suggested a re-jigging that would introduce some seasoned chieftains with a mastery of the political terrain who would deploy their wealth of experience towards practical application of sound strategies to achieve goals.
The party scribe told the Prince that Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze was the only Nigerian that would step into Port Harcourt and turn the heat on the PDP.
The next day, Prince Tonye Princewill flew into Abuja to meet with Atiku Abubakar then Vice President of Nigeria and the Presidential Candidate of the Action Congress on the issue of releasing “one Chief Eze” to him. Atiku laughed and asked him if he had handled fire before because according to him, the man he was requesting for was a raging inferno. Princewill assured and reassured him that he would do his best. After this, Atiku sent for me at his Aso Rock residence and asked me to move to Port Harcourt. That was in 2007.
CONCLUSION
As much as I owe a lot to Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi who accepted me as a brother including Prince Tonye PRINCEWIL, the Prince of Niger Delta including many other political leaders from Rivers State, the fact remains that without Atiku Abubakar I would have not been introduced to national politics particularly the politics of Rivers State.
So please join me to celebrate this great visionary and political bulldozer who through his maverick style of leadership exposed to the world some hidden facts about most of our political leaders.
Happy birthday Dear Waziri!
Happy birthday the Face of Democracy!!
Happy Birthday the most Prepared President that Nigeria is yet to have!!!
I salute you and pray that God bless your new age, grant you greater and better years ahead.

….Recalls his Encounter with the Great King who Referred to Him as a Son.
My encounter with King Prof. T.J.T Princewill, the Amanyanabo of Kalabari (May His Soul Rest In Peace) stemmed immediately the Action Congress Presidential Campaign Committee was disbanded. There and then, he suggested a re-jigging that would introduce some seasoned chieftains with a mastery of the political terrain who would deploy their wealth of experience towards practical application of sound strategies to achieve goals.
When I finally arrived Port Harcourt, His Serene Majesty, King Prof TJT PRINCEWIL, the Amanyanabo of Kalabari Kingdom came to attend one of the meetings of Rivers State Traditional Ruler’s Council and used the opportunity to visit his son, Prince Tonye PRINCEWIL in Port Harcourt and in the process I was introduced to him as the fellow that was sent by the former Vice President of Nigeria, the Waziri Adamawa, Atiku Abubakar GCON to assist his son in his aspiration to become the next Governor of Rivers State and it was in that meeting that the King not only accepted me as a son but pleaded with me to handle my kid-brother the Prince the best way I can.
History is there to tell whether or not I did a great job based on my assignment from the King and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
On the various occasions I visited the King at Buguma, the capital of the Kalabari Kingdom, he accorded all the respect due to a son and my relationship with this exceptional royal father is not only documented but also a public knowledge to most great sons of the Kalabari Kingdom and Rivers State at large.
When God decided to call him back to Himself, my kid-brother, Prince Tonye PRINCEWIL accorded me the respect by alerting me that our father has been called home.
I am happy based on my relationship with the King, I am a respected authority in the history and culture of the Kalabari Kingdom and have joined the Kalabaris and the Ijaws at large on the auspicious days of their ceremonies and festivities including the birthdays of the King whom I referred to as an Icon, a legend, custodian and keeper of the conscience of his people.
The fact remains that HSM King (Prof) T.J.T Princewill, JP, CFR, (Amachree XI), Amayanabo of Kalabari Kingdom, has a specially Devine Favour peculiar to him – sharing the same birthday of 4th January with his son and the Scion of the Kalabari Kingdom, Prince Tonye T.J.T Princewill.
I am saddened that instead of writing about the King’s birthday next year, as has been my custom to pen down messages of birthday felicitations to the King who was born on 4th January, 1930; his son born on January 4, I am instead writing to mourn a great father who ensured that my stay in Rivers State was not only eventful but most enjoyable.
The birth of these renowned personalities and special breed is one of the cosmic wonders and uniqueness of a father sharing the same birthday with his so, a divine coincidence orchestrated to impact positively on Niger Delta area and Nigeria at large.
Some of my works on the King and his Kingdom of Kalabari include – “Kalabari Kingdom- Celebrating a unique culture” plus “BUGUMA CITY: KALABARI COUNCIL OF CHIEFS COMMEMORATE 11 YEARS OF THE GOLDEN REIGN OF THE AMANYANABO OF KALABARI KING (PROF) TJT PRINCEWIL, JP, CFR, AMACHREE XI” , ” plus “GOV. ROTIMI CHIBUIKE AMAECHI’S APPOINTMENT OF KING (PROF) T.J.T PRINCEWILL AS CHAIRMAN, RIVERS STATE TRADITIONAL RULERS COUNCIL IS THE BEST 8OTH BIRTHDAY GIFT TO THIS ELDER STATESMAN” plus “KING PROF TJT PRINCEWIL, AMAECHREE XI CELEBRATES TEN YEARS OF DIVINE REIGN – HONOURS 68 ILLUSTRIOUS SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF THE KINGDOM amongst numerous other publications.
Prof. Princewill was born into the royal family of King and Queen Jacob Tom Princewill, Amachree the VII on 4th January, 1930 in Buguma City.
He attained his professorship in 1984 at the University of Port Harcourt where he was the first Head of Department of Microbiology, the first Professor of Microbiology and the first black Professor to be Dean, Faculty of Sciences, Rivers State University of Science and Technology.
He was installed King Amachree XI on 23rd March, 2002, thus making him the first Professor to become King of the Kalabari Kingdom and by extension Rivers State.
Prof. Princewill was appointed Chairman, Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers on the 1st of January, 2010 by His Excellency Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, thus becoming the first Professor King to be Chairman, Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers as well as the first King of Kalabari extraction to be Chairman, Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers.
Amachree XI, Prof. T.J.T Princewill was an embodiment of peace, a vision carrier, an unassuming and exemplary leader, a custodian per excellence, whose humility was infectious and whose prowess and administrative acumen brought direction and purposeful development to the Kalabari kingdom and her people.
His Serene Majesty, King T.J.T Princewill, JP, CFR, was an academic Professor of great repute who ascended the throne of his forebears as the Amanyanabo of Kalabari Kingdom on 23rd March, 2002 and was recognized as a First Class Traditional Ruler by the Rivers State Government same year he was crowned king.
King Prof. T.J.T Princewill started his academic pursuit at the famous Baptist School, Buguma in 1934 at the tender age of 4 and was adjudged the youngest ever to be enrolled to school. He graduated in 1946. After series of passage through various other schools, he ended up in University of Leeds, England from where he obtained his Ph.D. Degree in Microbiology in 1975. He has to his credit, over 30 publications published in scientific Journals from 1965 till date.
He served as Head of Department, Microbiology, University of Port Harcourt from 1982-1984. Dean of Students’ Affairs of University of Port Harcourt from 1985-1986, Dean, School of Graduate Studies, University of Port Harcourt, 1987-1990; Dean, Faculty of Science, Rivers State University of Science and Technology, (now Rivers State University), Port Harcourt from 1991-2000. During this time he also distinguished himself as a Lecturer, Visiting Lecturer and External Examiner to various Universities in Nigeria.
Furthermore, as an internationally acclaimed scholar, he was a fellow of several academic bodies including, the Society for General Microbiology (UK), Society for Applied Bacteriology (UK), British Spore Group, Nigerian Society for Immunology, Nigerian Society for Animal Production and countless other societies of local, regional, and international jurisdiction.
This great King of Kalabari Kingdom was the first Professor to be made King in Rivers State and the first King from Rivers State to be decorated with a national honour – Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR), by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. T.J.T Princewill, an academic cum traditional ruler was also the first Kalabari King to Chair the Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers and the First King of the Kalabari Kingdom to be appointed a Pro-Chancellor of a University.
He had the singular honour to teach most of the great leaders in Nigeria including former President of Nigeria, Dr. Jonathan Goodluck and the most successful Rivers State born politician, Rt. Hon. Dr. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, erstwhile Governor of Rivers State and Nigeria ever best Minister amongst many other great leaders.
Prior to the installation of King (Prof) Princewill, insecurity (occasioned by militancy) was the hallmark of the kingdom. Life was almost “brutish, nasty and short” as though it was a pre-governmet society as posited by Oliver Holmes. Properties were destroyed and the respect to the sanctity of human life was thrown to the dogs. Succinctly put, this period was the years of ‘darkness, backwardness and Annihilation’, when militia groups kidnap, maim and struggle for territorial control with government forces, but to the credit of this man of Peace and thoughtful leader, peace, orderliness and sanity returned to the kingdom.
During his lifetime, I had once suggested in an article that with the great feats achieved by this legend, the need for the government of Rivers State to declare every January 4 a work-free day, to allow citizens and diplomats cling glasses in commemoration of the birth of a father and a son who are beloved and pleasant in the sight of Rivers people and Niger Deltans, was necessary.
King and Prince Princewill played key role in my politics and stay in Rivers State and I pray God to grant the gentle soul of His Royal Majesty eternal rest and the grant us the fortitude to bear his departure.
Eze quoted Princewill as disclosing that the Kalabari Kingdom of Rivers state has fixed November 29 & 30 as the official date for the commencement of activities for the burial of the longest reigning monarch in the State, His Serene Majesty, King Prof. T.J.T Princewill, Amachree the XI and Amanyanabo of the Kalabari Kingdom and that the date which signals the commencement of 21 days of ceremonies was agreed upon following consultations with various levels of Chiefs in the royal family, as well as titled Chiefs in Buguma and Kalabari land.
According to him, other stakeholders like Amanyanabo of Abonemma, King Disrael Bob Manuel, King Alfred Diete Spiff, the Amanyanabo of Twon Brass, other Kalabari leaders and key non Kalabari stakeholders were consulted in arriving at the date.

There are two categories of people after a defeat, the ones that accept defeat in good faith and learn from the lessons of the defeat, and the ones who complain, cry foul, make excuses and blame everyone else but themselves for the defeat they suffered and the obidients are a typical example of the later.
While we should note that elections in Nigeria and to some extent in other parts of the world is like football, no matter the amount of reforms you bring to it, controversies will always exist, when the video assistant referee, VAR was introduced, there were optimism everywhere that no more controversies, but alas here we are, even the VAR is a controversy on its own. In the same vein, a lot of reforms have been brought in to the nigerian electoral system and controversies still persist, but those controversies are minimal and would not have a major impact on the outcome of the election.
It’s interesting how the obidients have been putting the blames of the defeat on every other party involved, INEC is biased, Yorubas are bigot, the northerners are not civilized and they’re not ready to break the yoke of poverty and on and on like that.
Even though Yoruba overwhelmingly voted for three of the four leading candidates (Tinubu, Atiku and Obi), the northerners voted for Tinubu, Atiku and Kwakwnaso, while the Igbos gave about ninety percent of their votes to Obi, yet they’re the ones complaining bitterly of rigging, tribalism, manipulation and so on.
The narrative that obidients are trying to paint here reminds me of childhood, anytime Nigeria played a football match and they got beaten then we would be hearing the match was fixed, the referee was biased or the oppenent used voodoo. when Tinubu lost in Lagos it was a fair result, when Obi had ninety percent in the south east, he was accepted by his clans, APC lost in Buhari’s home state, Kaduna and some other stronghold states,it was good for them, but when Tinubu had a landslide victory in ekiti, Ondo and other states then the song of tribalism, bigotry, rigging became loud and clear.
What one would expect the obidients to do is just let that one slip, try and have a better output in subsequent elections, but no they’re fixated on fighting a lost battle, and I’m not sure any tribunal in any part of the world will be able to annul a presidential election as a result of inconsequential inconsistencies, because that’s the order of things, which we all understand, even all other things being equal, how do you want to prove it in court that a candidate who came third is the winner, doesn’t that sound absurd??
By the way, shouldn’t we even be asking questions on why obi is a better candidate than the rest, a man who invested the money of a whole state under his family name, check Pandora papers, he admitted to setting up a shell company, saying he did it to evade tax, and you think someone who doesn’t want to pay tax is patriotic..
And hope you didn’t forget his erstwhile campaign DG, Doyin Okupe, let’s just assume the cat was not let out of the bag and Peter Obi won, the now convicted Doyin Okupe would definitely get a ministerial appointment, even his running mate, Datti Ahmed benefited from the magnanimity of former president olusegun Obasanjo of using federal might to manipulate and win elections, as he (Datti) also won an election to the Senate and the election was annulled in the court of law, but obidients will always want us to believe their hero and all his subordinates are white as snow and when they realized they couldn’t be successful with that, they were using the pretense of age, they said Obi is young, the retirement age for civil servants in Nigeria is 60, and you’re telling us that a 61 years old man is still a youth.
Ahead of the governorship and house of assembly elections this weekend,it remains to be seen whether they will be able to have better output but one needs to tell them the bitter truth that Lagos state is not part of their domain, and they should stop nurturing any idea of gbadebo/chinedu Rhodes victory, as the victory of labour party in Lagos state during the presidential election would definitely turn out to be a trojan horse. only 3 house of representatives out of 20, zero Senate seat, losing all but one to the APC, even after winning the presidential election in the state, as usual the men will soon be separated from the boys.

The Candidacy of Tonye Cole Presents a Rallying Point for Rivers People to Reclaim Their State From the Firm Grip of Economic Saboteurs and Desperate Wrongdoers.
Concerned about the dense fog of chronic leadership malfeasance that has enveloped Rivers State under the current PDP administration, erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has called on Rivers people to resist the satanic scheme of desperados scheming to elongate their stay in power in order to continue to prey on the common patrimony of Rivers people.
In his letter to Rivers electorates ahead of Saturday’s Governorship and House of Assembly elections, the party Chief emphasized that Rivers people need an informed and adequately prepared global brand like the candidate of the APC, Pst. Tonye Cole to librate Rivers from its present preposterous state.
He reminded the people that the choice they make through their ballots on Saturday will have very serious consequences on education, health, economy infrastructure and other aspects of life and urged them to critically assess the policies and track records of parties and candidates alike to help them make informed decisions.
Given the bizarre trend of mismanagement of the common patrimony by those whose responsibility it is to efficiently manage same for public good, Eze restated that building a more effective government has become more necessary than ever and must be considered as a challenge that Rivers people must come together to tackle on Saturday. It is on this premise that Pst. Tonye Dele Cole, is on the race for the governorship of our dear Rivers state.
The biggest challenge of State at the moment is a systemic corruption which has remained endemic, crippling public institutions and turning mediocre into powerful men whose insatiable greed and avarice have caused the state a multi-sectorial retrogression, weakened public confidence in government and labeled the state and her enlightened populace as folks with very poor vision in a generation of light.
The candidacy of Tonye Cole in this election presents a rallying point for Rivers people to come together, collaborate and deploy every means within the province of law to retrieve power from the enemies of the state and return same to the people to whom it belongs. Yes, power belongs to the people.
Our beloved Governorship Candidate and his team have traversed the nook and cranny of the state in the course of his campaign engagements and have built partnership with stakeholders and people from all strata of society to strengthen his commitment to a better life for all through an aggressive reclamation of our years of loses. I vouch in all honesty for Tonye’s preparedness to be our advocate and reliable consort on this journey until we land safely on the side of cannan.
With You, We Can.
Thank you.
